What's new in iTicket Apps: POS 357 29-10-26
Point-of-Sale, version 357
Price changes with a manager's OK, and a steadier Adyen checkout
Cashiers can now change a price at the till once a manager has approved it, so nobody has to log out. Every approved change is logged on the order. This version also fixes a rare Adyen card payment problem that could lock the payment screen until the register was restarted.
Core releaseManager approval also needs an upcoming iTicket core release. Until that release, Change Price works exactly as it does today. We will announce it in the core change log.
New in POS
A manager's OK for price changes, right at the till
Sometimes a price needs to change on the spot: a goodwill gesture, a correction or a special case. A cashier can now make the change without logging out, as long as a manager approves it.
- Cashiers who may not change prices see a padlock on Change Price
- Tapping it asks for a manager's username and PIN. The cashier stays logged in, and so does the manager on any other register
- The cashier sets the new price. The approval covers that one cart item only, so the next change needs a new approval
Every approved change is saved as an internal comment on the order, for example: Anna authorized Erik to change price of "Day ticket Adult" from 590.00 to 450.00. You can see it on the order in the Portal. Staff who are allowed to change prices see no padlock and work as before.
Before it goes live
Price changes are controlled by a new permission on the role page in the Portal. Once the core release is out, every role without it sees the padlock. Give the permission to the roles that change prices today, such as managers, so they can keep doing it without approval and can approve for others. Roles with full access to the apps already have it.
Core releaseNeeds an upcoming iTicket core release. Until then nothing changes at the till.
Feature 61840
Adyen card payments no longer lock the till
On rare occasions an Adyen terminal approved a card payment, but POS could not register the order. The cashier then saw Payment couldn't be completed with a Reverse reservation button that did nothing, and the only way out was to restart the register.
- POS now finishes getting the new order ready before the card payment starts, which removes the cause
- If a payment still cannot be matched to an order, POS asks the cashier to contact support and offers New order, so the till is never stuck

Everything in this release

General Improvements
- Feature 61840: Cashiers without the new price permission can change a cart item's price once a manager approves it with username and PIN. The approval covers one cart item, and each approved change is saved as an internal comment on the order. The cart item also shows that it is updating while a price change is saved Core release
Payments
- Bug 66677: Fixed Adyen card payments that were approved on the terminal but not registered in POS, which left a Reverse reservation button that did nothing and forced a restart. When a payment cannot be matched to an order, POS now offers New order instead
