Vågnes - Reindeer Camp Visit & Aurora Chase

Begin your Arctic adventure with a visit to a traditional Sámi reindeer camp, where you’ll meet the gentle herd and feel the quiet magic of the North. After this warm encounter, your guide drives you into the still, open wilderness for a cozy night of firelight, stories and sky-gazing, where the Northern Lights come into focus in the way nature intends. ITINERARY

Pick up time: 16.15

  • Your evening of adventure begins with pickup at 16:30 at the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn Prostneset
  • Enjoy a scenic 25–30 minute drive as we bring you from the city lights to our cozy Sámi reindeer camp
  • Spend time with our gentle herd, and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere of our traditional Sámi camp
  • A Sámi guide will perform a joik to wish you good luck on your Northern Lights journey
  • After our time at the camp, your Northern Lights guide leads you into the quiet wilderness and shares stories and insights as we gently bring the aurora into focus.
  • Warm up with a comforting vegetarian soup, along with hot drinks and cookies.
  • At our chosen viewing location, your guide will light a bonfire and capture beautiful photos of you under the Arctic sky
  • Stay warm by the bonfire while your guide shares Arctic stories, sparks conversation and brings the group together for a night of connection and wonder.

 

We return to Tromsø by around 01:30 (exact time may vary depending on conditions)
